49ers Have Met With Top OT Prospect Rashawn Slater

49ers are doing their homework on the top OT prospect out of Northwestern. 

It appears the 49ers have met with OT Rashawn Slater, according to Cam Inman (@CamInman). 

This is an exciting development as the team will likely be looking to fill a massive hole in the LT position if Trent Williams indeed leaves for free agency. 

Rashawn Slater doesn't have the same size as Trent Williams but he has everything else you need in an elite tackle prospect. He has elite foot quickness and balance that allows him to go head up with any style edge rusher. He brings hands and that 'dawg' mentality you want in an offensive lineman. 

His OSU you game will be the main tape evaluators look at as he played extremely well against the former #1 overall pick in DE Chase Young.


Slater is the entire package and there is good reason why he is now being considered the best LT prospect in this class.
