Breaking: Former 49ers' TE Greg Clark Has Died, Per Source

Brad Graham • Jul 09, 2021

Greg Clark was 49 years old.

Per source, former 49ers' third round TE Greg Clark has passed away from an apparent suicide on Wednesday, July 7th.

I have one concrete source that has confirmed the news to go along with the social media post left by his family members.

Clark was a tight-end for the Stanford Cardinal prior to his 5 year career in the NFL with the 49ers. He completed his career with 92 receptions, 909 receiving yards, and 4 touchdowns.

He also caught two TDs in the classic 1998-99 playoff game against Green Bay which is famous for "The Catch" by Terrell Owens.

Greg Clark will be missed and our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
