What a great way to start off the weekend for the #Faithful.
According to my good friend Alex Tran of NinersNation.com, the 49ers have engaged in talks with the All-Pro linebacker. Alex reports from his sources that the goal for getting a deal completed is "before training camp" for both parties.
The captain of the 49ers defense is set to demand the richest contract in the NFL for a linebacker and will likely make history in the process with a record setting amount. Warner is the new prototypical-styled LB that the NFL has come to covet and will reshape the financial landscape for the next generation of linebackers.
I project Fred Warner to receive a 5-year $92 Million contract from the 49ers, earning All-Pro Fred an average of $18.4M/year.
